Sales Representative

Are you looking for a role where you can take things to the next level? We are recruiting for a motivated Sales Representative to join a Whangarei based company. With a key focus on delivering an outstanding client relationship experience that will see the relationships with customers grow, you will work with a very established management team and installers selling a diverse range of insulation products Northland-wide.
Reporting to the Managing Director your primary focus will be business growth and drive profitability through:
Develop new business
Manage and maintain strong customer relationships
Demonstrate consistency
Deliver a high standard of customer service
You will be commercially sound and a well-rounded sales professional with experience and expertise driving new business. You will also have solid analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to adapt your style according to customer needs.
Responsibilities of the role:
Identify and follow up all new business, product and/or project opportunities within the existing and new customer base
Pro-actively expand your current customer base through fostering new relationships.
Provide sound customer solutions by leveraging the full company product portfolio.
Be ahead of the game and understand current market challenges and opportunities and identify new ways to improve value proposition and profitably.
Resolve customer issues, disputes and/or complaints in a prompt and professional manner.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with all relevant internal stakeholders.
About You:
Your ability to build rapport and generate new business will be your strength. While knowledge of the building/construction industry is a large benefit, we are willing to consider someone outside the industry who has a can-do attitude, is an agile go-getter and can work independently.
A strong personal and work ethic is essential, and you’ll operate according to the importance of giving your word to your customers and making them and their needs your priority. Being able to build positive work relationships and work collaboratively with them, will contribute to your own success as much as to the success of the business.
You have the ability to learn and retain product knowledge and become a trusted expert on all things for customers. You are also a health and safety-conscious individual who actively identifies and minimises any work safety hazards.
The flexibility for travel is a must for this role, to stay in touch with your customers. Attending networking, trade and company events is occasionally required, however our client is a business that is mindful of a healthy work-life balance.
3+ years of field sales experience
You will bring the highest level of personal integrity and ethics
You will be a great team player
You will be a quick, adaptable learner, with great communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Outstanding customer service, and presentation skills
Computer literate
