Acute Clinician - Community Mental Health Nelson /Tasman Region
Temporary, full-time position covering parental leave for up to 12months (80 hours a fortnight).

This role is suitable for a Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker able to manage acute/crisis assessments and treatment, andinterventions.
Our Adult Community Mental Health teams provide high-qualitycomprehensive assessment and treatment for adults and their families living inthe Nelson/Tasman region. We enjoy a team culture of collaborative practice,openness, humour and respect across disciplines.
As an Acute Clinician you will work a 24/7 rotating roster responding toclients in crisis. This will include overnight on call and receiving triaged referralsfrom WhakarongorauAotearoa, HealthNZ Nelson Marlborough Triage Service, and assessment of acute presentations in response toreferrals from ED, GPs and Police.
Shifts are rostered (four dayson, two days off), with rostered on call between11.00PM to 8.00AM.

You will be a mental health professional with the confidence to workautonomously and the resilience to manage a mixed case load. You will havecurrent knowledge of mental health and associated issues and addictionsclinical experience is also desirable. Whilst we are looking for anexperienced practitioner - we also recruitfor attitude.
