TheOlder Persons - Mental Health Inpatient Unit provides psychiatric and geriatriccare for the older members of our community.
We aspire to provide high qualityinpatient care to patients with acute mental health needs and / or complex age-relatedhealth conditions.
We work in partnership with our patients, their families,the clinical team and community carers and supports to achieve the bestpossible health outcome for the patient.
The full-time salary rangefor an Enrolled Nurse is $69,934 to $83,349 (effective from 1 April 24) basedon the current Mental Health and Public Health Nursing MECA, dependent onskills, experience, and registration in NZ.

(Who is anappropriate applicant?)Youwill have current NCNZ registration and practising certificate, with noconditions that exclude Mental Health Scope of Practice, and it is desirable thatyou have a minimum of one year of post-registration nursing experience.You will have knowledge of :
Physical and mental disorders commonly experienced in older persons
Contemporary treatment approaches including person-centred care, sensory modulation, therapeutic use of self and therapeutic use of psychiatric medications
Mental Health assessment and care planning
Mental Health (Compulsory Assessment and Treatment) Act, 1992

Well-developed interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary team
