About the Role:
For over 30 years Metrix has distributed an impressive portfolio of international European brands throughout New Zealand which are showcased in our store located in Auckland. Metrix is distinguished by an international style which is reflective of its European brands - modern, sophisticated, and elegant.

We are looking for a Territory Manager who will be a natural fit into our team, and who can independently work to grow our business.
The key focus of the position is to gain specification of our products through designers, specifiers, builders, and plumbers who influence the sale and specification of bathroom ware products. In addition, building strong relationships with our merchant channel is essential.
Our ideal candidate will have proven sales skills, expertise in all aspects of selling and solution providing, excellent written, verbal & listening skills, computer literacy, a strong commitment to setting & achieving goals, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Previous experience in the plumbing & bathroomware industry would be an advantage.
Key customers are Plumbing World, other independent distributors, architects, designers, specifiers, plumbers, and end users.

Some of the things you will be doing:
Gain specification through architects, designers, specifiers, and end users to maximise our sales opportunities
Plan and prepare for client meetings, presentations, and events
Present and provide information on our premium products and service
Build and manage a pipeline of projects/opportunities and secure product specifications
Building relationships with our customers to better understand their unique business
Achievement of sales targets in line with KPI’s
Working with new and existing clients to increase market penetration in your region
Reach and exceed sales targets for Metrix products and drive sales in the region
Driven to work autonomously
As a natural relationship builder, you will proactively develop new business and your outgoing personality will enable you to prepare, present, and close sales presentations to key clients ensuring that they have the best products to meet their needs.
Skills and experience:
Genuine "people person" with a commitment to providing first-class customer service and developing relationships
High level of resilience with a strong work ethic and high energy levels.
Identifying additional development and engaging directly with relevant stakeholders
Deliver commercially viable sales plans in line with the overall company sales strategy
Existing contacts within the A&D Community is highly desired
