General Manager - Scenic Matavai Resort in Niue General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management)
Full Job Description
We are in the hunt to find a leader that has the ambition to deliver an authentic Niuean experience with a touch of contemporary luxury. If you are looking for a "hands on" lifestyle position in the South Pacific, this could be the role you've been looking for. A three-hour flight from Auckland transports you to dramatic limestone cliffs, some of the clearest water in the world and with just over 1500 residents on island Niue offers a rare opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Manage daily hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage departments
Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent guest experience
Monitor and manage the hotel's financial performance, including budgets, forecasting and revenue management
Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff to ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times
Build and maintain positive relationships with guests, suppliers, and staff
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Continually improve the guest experience through innovative ideas and initiatives
Engage with local businesses and community groups
Drive cultural engagement throughout the resort
Requirements:
Ideally 5 years of experience in hospitality management or a related field
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and product presentation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage budgets and financial performance
A passion for the hospitality industry and a drive to succeed
Has experience working in remote locations and understands the complexities of such locations
