We are searching for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our site based in Whakatane. If you thrive in an environment where you can identify improvements, develop, and implement systems and procedures and alongside colleagues drive a health and safety culture throughout all levels of the organization then we want to hear from you.
As Health & Safety Manager you will play a key role in:
Developing and implementing H&S strategies, systems, processes, and policies
Monitoring the effectiveness of existing and new policies
Identifying and driving H&S initiatives and training
Providing meaningful H&S information, reports, and advice
Facilitating workshops to drive H&S awareness and initiatives
Identifying future H&S requirements for the site
Ideally you will have:
At least 5 years H&S experience, preferably with management skills
A recognised Health and Safety qualification
Ability to demonstrate proven training skills and abilities
Experience in a manufacturing or similar industry
A good understanding and working knowledge of all relevant legislation and regulations
Excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills as well as an eye for detail and creative problem solving
A proven track record driving a culture that supports Health and Safety and experience in hazard management, risk assessment, risk control and environmental compliance is advantageous.
