The Opportunity
They are now looking for an energetic and knowledgeable Operations Manager to join the well-respected team. Supporting Managing Director Niki Mills, and working closely with the Division Heads you will be responsible for smooth daily operations across sales, service, workshop, and administration. With up to 300 cars on site at any time (and many more en route to New Zealand), a trade in service and our own European Car Repair workshop and Service facility, the work environment must be fast and efficient to deliver for our customers. You will therefore need to be ready to roll up your sleeves, solve problems on the go and do what it takes to maintain and build the Christchurch European brand. Responsibilities include:
Liaison between divisions to ensure smooth operations
Organising and managing advertising (including trademe)
Organising pre-delivery inspections and preparation
Supporting the workshop with coordination and planning
Monitoring KPIs, identifying improvement areas and ensuring compliance with company standards
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.30pm, and the occasional Saturday morning.
Package includes competitive salary, vehicle and fuel allowance.
About You
Customer driven with excellent planning and communication skills, you will be a confident decision maker who is comfortable operating at any level in the business, particularly providing outstanding after sales support. You would fit well in the team if you have high attention to detail, a great work ethic, the ability to multi task and a mindset of excellence.
As a leader, you will be skilled in holding an audience with the team to ensure alignment and the achievement of goals, while maintaining a fantastic workplace culture. Ideally you will have previous dealership/mechanical experience at senior management level, however we would equally love to chat if you have previous sales experience, you are a knowledgeable car enthusiast, and you are eager to get stuck in and learn as you go.
