Job Description:

One of Stellar's key clients is currently seeking experienced Project Managers with a strong background in heavy infrastructure, particularly in the areas of roading and water infrastructure. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager role overseeing projects exceeding $10 million in value.

Salary - $140k - $200k

Location - Auckland Based

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the complete project lifecycle, including tendering, delivery, and closeout, for infrastructure projects ranging from bridges to water infrastructure.

Manage projects with values exceeding $40 million, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Directly manage a team consisting of 2-3 site engineers, 2-3 project engineers, a site supervisor, foreman, and other personnel as required.

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including principals, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project delivery.

Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and maintain a high level of safety on construction sites.

Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing deviations from the plan.

Utilise project management software and tools to track key performance indicators and project metrics.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager leading projects exceeding $10 million in value.

Experience in heavy infrastructure projects, particularly in roading and water infrastructure.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and stakeholders.

Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in construction.

Comfortably run projects of $40m+ value and the second $80m+ acting as a Project Director/Contracts Manager.
