The role is responsible for the delivery and continued expansion of PDP’s water resources services in ourAuckland, Hamilton or Whangārei office. This role is within the Environmental Management group andenables the incumbent to apply their knowledge to a range of water resource investigations. As a waterresource service leader in the Hamilton office, the role will also involve assistance in the mentoring ofjunior team members.
About the Role Business development by sourcing ongoing work from existing clients, developing new clients,and raising your personal, as well as, the company’s profile by the presentation of papersat conferences.
Manage water resource projects by coordinating staff and subcontractors, liaising withregulators client contacts and stakeholders, and controlling budgets and invoicing.
Prepare environmental management plans, monitoring plans and consent applications
Technical report writing and presenting expert evidence at hearings
Apply company policies in health and safety, quality, administration, and technical procedures
Skills and Experience A Master's or Postgraduate Degree in environmental science or engineering is preferred.
At least seven years of experience in a consulting, local authority environment or researchorganisation.
A reputation as a recognised contributor to the water resource services market and want tofurther develop personal skills.
Have proven commercial and business development skills, and strong written and spokencommunication skills.
A broad-based scientific background with good practical experience
Good technical report writing, data analysis and management skills
