Job brief

With great enthusiasm for travel, a Corporate Travel Consultant will be responsible for promoting and facilitating travel arrangements for clients. The goal is to enhance satisfaction and acquire an expanding dedicated clientele.

Responsibilities

Determining clients’ needs and suggesting suitable travel advise.

Research various destinations and means of travel regarding prices, travel requirements and advisory, reviews etc.

Organize travels from beginning to end, through booking tickets and accommodation, transportation etc.

Supply travelers with pertinent information and travel documents.

Handle unforeseen concerns, feedback and determine rectification and recovery.

Create and update electronic records of clients.

Maintain relationships with key persons and point of contacts.

Collaborating with relevant departments on billing and payment matters such as invoicing, statement, account receivable, refunds etc.

Achieve revenue and profit goals.

Onsite meeting and facilitation with clients and vendors.

Attend seminars to maintain familiarity with tourism trends and product updates.

Requirements and skills

Proven working experience as a Travel Consultant.

Computer literate and excellent knowledge of traveling software (computer reservations systems, Global Distribution System (GDS) - Sabre).

Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages, preferably Mandarin is an advantage.

Well versed in various areas of travel (domestic/international, business/Leisure, group/individual etc).

Exemplary sales skills and customer-oriented approach.

Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively.

Demonstrable ability to handle crises.

Qualification/Certified in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field.

Candidate with higher qualification and experience shall be considered for an Operations Manager position.
