We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the growing OrbitRemit team in Wellington, NZ. This is an exciting opportunity to have meaningful input and ultimately provide our customers with the best money transfer experience. As the senior product manager you will pioneer the product culture at OrbitRemit, you’ll lead initiatives to deliver positive outcomes for our customers by gathering a deep understanding of our business, discovering customers' pain points and new opportunities, and continuously measuring the impact of these initiatives.

Our tech is predominantly a distributed micro-services architecture primarily built in PHP using modern practices running on docker and orchestrated with Kubernetes on Google Cloud Platform, we are continuing to utilise Google Cloud Platform and its tools to evolve and scale our platform.

What you will bring to the role Have a high level of emotional intelligence to maintain healthy relationships across a broad range of personalities, interests and opinions

Have several years commercial experience in a software product leadership position, or be able to demonstrate how your alternative leadership experience would lend itself to this role

Have a clear understanding of what a customer centric, product culture looks like and the ability to champion and evolve this across the company.

Be an exceptional communicator with a range of stakeholders and personalities across your team and the wider business.

Having an understanding of the fintech industry is not a prerequisite, but a curiosity to learn and experience to apply your trade to it is essential

Similarly, working with SaaS based software teams would be an advantage but not essential

A sense of fun and optimism for the potential of your product and able to instil this energy in others

What you will be accountable for Building and growing a deep understanding of our business and the domain of the products you are responsible for.

Defining how your team will measure the impact of product releases and updates

Delivering positive outcomes for our customers through the products, features, enhancements and improvements you and your team delivers.

Championing and engaging in discovery activities to identify and prioritise problems and opportunities you and your team can rally around to solve.

Promoting the value of releasing value to customers early and often

Spending time out of the office getting closer to existing and potential customers enhancing your understanding of their challenges and building increased empathy for their needs

Motivating and empowering your team by providing clear purpose and direction through strong leadership

Engaging with key internal stakeholders across the business

Creating and sharing a product plan and roadmap, driven by business objectives and outcomes, that highlights both shorter term deliverables and longer term direction.
