Our client is urgently seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join their team in Wellington, NZ. This role is pivotal in managing commercial issues and providing advice on key contracts. The successful candidate will be experienced in telecommunications and infrastructure build, with a proven track record in interpreting and managing large contracts. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need to provide clarity on rights and positions to ensure the building of a strong future commercial structure. This role offers a competitive salary of $180,000.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play an integral role in managing commercial relationships with suppliers to deliver key national digital infrastructure projects. You will provide expert advice on our cellular infrastructure contracts and support procurement activities where needed. Your ability to work collaboratively with joint venture suppliers will be crucial in executing tasks at pace. Your expertise in interpreting and managing large contracts will be invaluable, as well as your commitment to ensuring strategic alignment with Agency and Project goals.
• Manage the commercial relationship with suppliers to deliver key national digital infrastructure projects
• Provide advice on large cellular contracts
• Support procurement activities
• Work collaboratively with joint venture suppliers to execute at pace
• Interpret and manage large contracts
• Ensure strategic alignment with Agency and project goals
What you bring:
• Strong commercial experience in large-scale contract management, ideally within the ICT infrastructure industry
• Ability to execute at pace and lead joint venture suppliers to work collaboratively
• Strong legal and contract management background required
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience across programs of work and skill in contract negotiation, risk and mitigation
• Previous exposure to a Ministry/State Owned Enterprise would be desirable
