Hagley Windows & Doors is a leading aluminium joinery supplier to the Canterbury building industry for over 50 years. Our team uses state-of-the-art technology for a wide variety of projects right across the South Island.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Administrator who has an interest in the construction and manufacturing sector, to bring your expertise to a highly motivated team of over 200, based in our new state-of-the-art facility in Waterloo Business Park.
Role and responsibilities
This is a full time, intermediate level position ranging in a wide variety of tasks from taking charge of our reception area, scanning job files, arranging functions, financial admin tasks and supporting our Senior Leadership team. You'll need to be welcoming and friendly to all our customers, visitors and guests.
Hours of work
Your standard working hours are 8am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 4.30pm on Friday.
In this role you will:
Ensure all our visitors and guests are welcomed, providing assistance and direction as necessary.
Answer all phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
Assist customers with general enquiries.
Be responsible for marketing events including bbqs, golf tournaments, etc which includes ensuring our bbq truck is fully stocked and catered for.
Help organise functions in our very own function centre on-site and be responsible for all marketing collateral including team uniforms.
Handle routine admin tasks including copying, scanning, inputting and ordering of all consumables.
Provide admin assistance to the Senior Leadership team.
Assist the finance team with account rendered & accounts payable processing, and other day-to-day accounting functions.
Work closely with, and support your colleagues.
You’ll need to demonstrate the following:
2+ years experience in a similar role.
high degree of computer literacy including the O365 Suite and experience in the construction industry would be an advantage.
have outstanding communication skills.
be a bright & energetic person with a willingness to help.
its an autonomous role so you'll need the ability to manage your own time.
hold a driver's licence - you could be asked to be out and about.
have strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
you have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
