The Opportunity
We’re looking for either a current Farm Manager who is looking to broaden their experience or a confident and accomplished Head Shepherd/Stock Manager making their first step into farm management.
You will have the chance to learn and develop skills in business management, people leadership and lead change in a company with a customer focused strategy.
This role also gives you the opportunity to get comfortable with Pāmu systems and processes, as you will learn and run your own Farmax file and record data into FarmIQ.
The Farms
Puketōtara Farm is operating an intensive store/finishing system, farming Friesian cross bulls across 780 effective hectares. Puketōtara Farm is located 15 minutes from Kerikeri.
About You
You will be a passionate, experienced Farm Manager or Stock Manager/Head Shepherd looking for your next challenge.
You will have:
·A first-class attitude to Health and Safety, Animal Welfare and Environmental Management.
·Excellent pasture management skills
·Attention to detail, around stock performance and feed budgeting.
·In-depth understanding and experience handling multiple stock units.
·Excellent communication skills.
·Technically savvy with a strong interest in recording technology.
·Effective time and people management skills.
·Excellent problem solving ability and creativity.
·Current and full NZ drivers licence.
