About the role:
Based at our Auckland Design Centre as the Direct Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Global Category Team for Direct Materials, with the purpose of delivering best value supplier solution matched to business requirements. You will also lead the team and provide clear vision to the broader business and deliver on our strategic goals of being the #1 luxury home appliance brand globally.
Reporting directly to the EVP of Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Procurement and working closely with Product Development, Supply Chain, Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Finance, Legal and External Suppliers, your primary responsibilities will include:
Global Direct Spend for Raw Materials, parts and external OEM Finished Goods.
Provide leadership to global cross functional teams to ensure visibility of Direct Procurement Category strategies.
Responsible for developing, deploying and govern the Direct Procurement Policy, supporting cost reduction, cost avoidances, cost management, supply resilience, spend analysis, supplier sustainability, performance and compliance.
Manage all procurement disciplines of sourcing, supplier selections and approval, contract negotiations and supplier relationship management.
About You
We are seeking a visionary leader with a strong commercial acumen and a sharp analytical mind. To excel in this role, you should possess:
A proven track record in global procurement, with experience in people leadership roles.
Excellent commercial and financial acumen and good understanding of Supplier Relationship Management concept.
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to identify and react to business challenges.
