Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is looking to appoint an outstanding individual to work in our Technology faculty for a full-time permanent position from June 2024. We are seeking an inspiring, collaborative student-focused teacher who is culturally responsive and relational, and who is specialised in Engineering and Woodwork. The successful candidate will be someone who loves working with rangatahi, can build positive, learning focused relationships and enjoys working in teams.
Co-curricular involvement in the wider life of the school is encouraged and an advantage.
Taupo-nui-a-Tia College is a co-educational secondary school with a roll of approximately 1100 students. About thirty percent of our students identify as Māori, and we have strong connections with our local iwi, Ngāti Tūwharetoa. The successful candidate will be making a commitment to learn or continue learning about Ngāti Tūwharetoatanga. In order to work in our school it is important to understand the stories, land, and the people of our mana whenua.
