Taylor’s has a career opportunity for permanent orchard foremen/supervisors.
Job Description:
As an orchard foreman/supervisor you will direct and motivate your team using your skills and expertise in all aspects of orchard operations including: pruning, thinning, picking, spraying and general upkeep of orchard grounds.
Reporting to the Orchard Manager, you will be hands-on with your team, undertaking a variety of tasks as directed and complete those in a timely manner, safely, and to specification with minimum supervision.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Orchard experience across all aspects of orchard operations preferred but not essential
Reliability & dependability
Safety conscious and concerned for the well-being of others in the team.
Excellent delegation and communication skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail and quality.
Basic numerical skills
The successful applicant will be:

Grow Safe Certification preferred.

A high level of personal presentation and hygiene
Sense of humour and can-do attitude
Restricted NZ drivers licence at a minimum
Pay: To be discussed and dependent on experience
35 hours per week guaranteed
Orchard sites are across Napier & Hastings
