Structural Engineer/ Senior Structural Engineer

Company Profile:

I currently have an excellent opportunity with a very reputable global multidisciplinary consultancy based in Auckland. They have an exceptional pipeline of work heading into 2024 across Structural Engineering. Projects varying in size and sector across Commercial, Retail, Health, Data Centres Office and Heritage. A consultancy that prides itself on having high staff retention and long-lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering high-quality and innovative structural designs and documentation for building structures with large complexity, including but not limited to high-rise developments, health, educational and commercial.

Leading and managing projects from concept design to construction within budget and delivery time frames.

Liaising with architects, project managers, builders, developers and other relevant project stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

Mentoring and developing engineers, contributing to growing the structural team and growing the portfolio of clients.

Delivering technically accurate, cost-effective and optimum designs in accordance with NZ standards.

Contributing towards innovation and technical improvement of projects and designs.

Required Experience

Strong experience designing and consulting for NZ building and construction projects.

Strong track record of accomplishment including +6 years of experience across large-scale commercial building structures in New Zealand or Australia.

Concrete design experience with exposure to columns, foundations, reinforced concrete slabs and beams, post tension slabs and beams, lateral design, and shoring design/basement structures.

Steel and timber design desirable

Excellent communication skills with a proactive approach

Exposure to software such as ETABS, SPACE GASS, Microstran, RAPT, WALLAP, RAM Concept and Strand7 is desirable.
