About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic team member to lead our Logistics Team. Do you thrive on providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment? We have a prime opportunity for someone who is keen to learn about our business, gain valuable experience, apply themselves and grow with the company!
This is full time position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week. The hours of work are 6.00am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday, however some flexibility maybe required.

Duties:
Your primary function will be to lead our Logistics team! Achieving operational efficiencies and flow, through efficient and effective leadership, planning and administrative practices whilst building and maintaining a reputation for quality and integrity. To develop a collaborative, high performing team environment, ensuring all stakeholder engagement is positive and results driven.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Provide effective supervision of the Tauranga based logistics staff by setting objectives, coordinating daily workloads and ensuring deadlines are met as well as identifying any issues where possible
Maintain a positive working environment through communication and motivational initiatives
Work closely with the Depot Management, Client Services, Transport and Head Office teams to form collaborative and effective working relationships
Ensure that sufficient staff resourcing is maintained at all times
Train, mentor, and support team members as required ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and up to date
Promote our business and our professional image ensuring all internal and external interactions are professional and accurate
Assist and support the implementation of new systems and procedures as required. Monitor and ensure compliance
Instigate processes and a continuous improvement philosophy for a more effective and efficient service and work quality. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and standard operating procedures up to date
Implement all Head Office and Senior Management queries and requests as and when instructed
Create and maintain a logistics manual, detailing daily, weekly and monthly tasks for all team member, processes, passwords and any other key information for Logistics Staff
Update training plans for all staff as assigned by management
Populate monthly reporting as assigned by management
