Suitable role for registered allied health or nursing cliniciansNgā mōhiohio e pā hānga kitēnei mahi (About this position) Infant, Child and AdolescentMental Health Service (iCAMHS) is a regional service for children and youthaged up to aged 18 years with serious mental health disorders.
Ourmulti-disciplinary team is made up of psychiatrists, mental health nurses,psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers, all trained in arange of treatment modalities.
An important aspect to thisrole is inter-agency work, including working with community services such asOranga Tamariki, schools, GPs and local Māori networks.
This role is permanent 0.8 FTEworking 64 hours per fortnight Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm.Ko wai he kaitono tōtika?
Whois an appropriate applicant?)We are looking to appoint anallied health professional, or registered nurses, with at least 2-years - experience, preferably within an iCAMHS or mental health setting.
You will beexperienced in working with young people and you will be up to date withcurrent research findings relating to major mental health issues and trends inchild and adolescent mental health service delivery.
You will also have abackground in delivering comprehensive assessments and evidence-basedinterventions for children and youth.
You will be the type of personwho fits into a cohesive team culture of collaborative practice, openness,humour, and respect across disciplines and will engender confidence, trust andrapport with clients, their support networks and other agencies and serviceproviders.
This role is suitable for aRegistered Nurse, or Allied Health professional e.g. social worker oroccupational therapist, preferably with iCAMHS or mental healthpost-registration experience.
