This hands-on role reports to the Director of Finance and Operations, you will be responsible for a variety of financial accounting tasks and will be a valued member of the Finance and Operations team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to financial modelling, financial reporting, systems reconciliations, filing GST/FBT returns, project/donor reporting, preparing financials for management and board reporting, supporting the DFO with budgeting, year-end process, and external audit.
To be successful you will be a people person, with a positive attitude and with excellent communication skills and, able to make the role your own. If you have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, this is the Finance Manager opportunity for you!
What would you bring:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field and 3 years’ related experience or equivalent combination.
Experience with relational databases and creating/managing moderate to complex spreadsheets, workbooks, and financial modelling.
Experience manipulating, analysing, and interpreting data. Advance expertise in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Power BI an advantage.
Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems and preparing customized reports.
Experience with New Zealand statutory compliance and financial reporting standards.
Technical experience with GAAP accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
Admin and/or operations functions experience including project management support.
