THE ROLE
You will be a senior member of the team responsible for helping across multiple projects and no day will be the same. This is a jack of all trades/wearer of many hats type role requiring the ability to juggle priorities, so we are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in and offer aid and support where and when it’s needed!
This role oversees all aspects of construction projects, so we are looking for a proven professional problem solver, who can use your initiative to ensure efficient business operations by providing support to the team, with a key focus on project delivery and achieving results.
Tasks and duties
Overseeing day-to-day operations of construction projects.
Ensure that specifications are being followed and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
Ensuring all workers adhere to construction plans and safety regulations.
H&S compliance is a key focus in the role, and you will be responsible for enforcing and following the H&S regulations on sites.
Coordinating with internal staff , subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders and effectively communicating with all parties and manage project expectations and progress.
Inspecting work progress and equipment at the construction site.
Reporting on project status to construction managers and clients.
Accurately recording findings on internal system (Pro-core)
Planning and scheduling construction tasks for workers including coordinating staff resources, materials, and equipment.
Working collectively with the Project Manager and the Senior Leadership team to sure a smooth project delivery.
ABOUT YOU
At least 3 yrs experience working in New Zealand - MUST HAVE A CIVIL OR RAIL BACKGROUND
Excellent communication and time management skills
Hard working and self-motivated
Can remain calm under pressure.
Great attention to detail, outside of the box problem solver
Friendly and approachable – all round team player
More Information about the role –
This role is Auckland based; however, some domestic travel may be required.
This role typically Monday to Friday hours, however due to the nature of the works, you will be expected to be on call, and possibly work outside normal business hours when required.
Please note a successful applicant will be expected to pass random drug/alcohol tests and any site inductions required.
