Technical Lead
Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand
We’re L’affare. The coffee business. Ever since 1990. We were born out of a love for espresso, in Wellington at our café and HQ. 34 years later, we’re still there on College Street. At 9 years young, our flagship Auckland Café and HQ in Newmarket is humming along, the home base of our Auckland crew.
Our people make us who we are today. We’re a mixed bunch of creative, industrious, adventurous humans, all with a great love for serving NZ the freshest and best coffee possible.
The role:
We're looking for a Senior Workshop Technician to lead our Auckland workshop team, overseeing maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs for both our commercial fleet and domestic customers. As importers of top brands like Wega, Rocket, and Mazzer, your role extends to providing essential technical guidance to distributors, engaging with customers, managing service schedules, and contributing to equipment sales growth. In the first couple of months your focus will be on process improvement and supporting your technician with their work stream. Longer term, you will be developing a pipeline to train our next coffee techs and more.
Who are we looking for?
Auckland is our biggest opportunity; we are intent on finding the right people to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have their current EAS licence, a strong commitment to on-the-job learning, excellent critical thinking skills, a continuous improvement mindset. We are looking for someone with demonstrated attention to detail and accountability in a technical setting, as well as proven leadership of one or more technician. Prior experience in a technical role within the coffee industry is preferred.
