The Opportunity
The Health Safety and Environment Manager’s role is a strong leadership role within Acciona New Zealand, when onsite the purpose of this role will be to support the Alliance Director, the Alliance Leadership Team, the Senior Leadership Team and the wider Project Team to develop and deliver best practice Environmental Health and Safety strategies and approaches that maximizes performance, builds a positive EHS culture and mitigates key risks across these areas.
Key Accountabilities:
Provide clarity, leadership, standardisation, and control of EHS management across the project
Apply methodologies and operational excellence to continually improve in-depth data collection and reporting that will support EHS outcomes and are embedded into the Alliance EHS culture.
Apply EHS evidence-based analysis to develop, implement, verify and monitor EHS strategies, initiatives, and programs are successfully integrated into the Alliance.
Required Skills and Competencies
Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety, Environmental or related field.
Minimum 8 years in a similar role with at least 5 years of those in a leadership role ideally in a civil construction/multi project environment
Qualified auditor in one or more of the following ISO management systems; ISO45001, ISO14001, ISO9001, ISO 27001 (Highly desirable)
Demonstrated experience with the development and implementation of Safety, Health and Environmental management systems
Experience with undertaking EHS investigations, high level reporting and implementing corrective actions.
