The Role
To contribute to the development of geological models underpinning the preparation and review of mineral resource estimates, RSC requires a resource geology consultant to support its technical teams in New Zealand, Australia and abroad. The successful applicant will work closely with our team of explorationists, geoscientists, and mineral resource modellers to deliver a superior consulting service to clients. The successful candidate will be required to undertake the following work.

At RSC we are focussed on your skills and experience. Typically, you will:
demonstrate a robust understanding of mineral systems, ore-forming processes and multi-commodity experience;
have excellent knowledge and ability in database and spreadsheet software;
use excellent knowledge and ability in 3D modelling and estimation software (Leapfrog in particular);
rely on good knowledge and ability in GIS software;
have the ability to work within a tight-knit team, to pursue common goals in a collaborative environment;
have exceptional writing skills, being able to report your written findings concisely, logically, and efficiently, whether for internal reporting or for peer-reviewed publication;
demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to manage direct reports well;
hold a BSc (MSc or higher preferred) in geology or a related subject; and
reside in Dunedin/Wellington and have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
