Business Development Manager – IP Technology Sales Date Listed: Mon 8 Aug
Based in Eden Terrace in the Auckland CBD, the primary purpose of this newly created role is to maintain existing and develop new IP Solution (PABX) accounts in small to medium sized businesses.
The person we seek will have proven sales skills ideally in a telco or technical services field
We seek a well organised and highly motivated person with good commercial understanding to develop their own call list – perhaps based initially on your existing business contacts – and to design and execute properly structured sales activities.
You will need to be a detail focussed and a natural problem solver but most importantly you’ll be a positive and professional person who thrives on having to complete a multitude of tasks and managing the changing requirements of each day.
Communication and relationship building skills, especially a pleasant and effective phone manner, are paramount for this role.
Key Tasks will include:-
• Developing and building existing and new customer relationships/partnerships.
• Selling, supporting and promoting the complete range of PABX and ICT based IP solutions.
• Work professionally and proactively with the wider sales team
• Ensure a professional and a consistent level of contact with assigned customers within territory, ensuring a regular call cycle is maintained.
• Vigorously follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
• Achieve agreed sales targets.
• Build new business through development and execution of a territory management strategy.
Skills and Experience Required
Several years’ successful work experience in a sales role in a NZ based company is preferred.
Proven success in managing sales activities is essential.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, strong numeracy skills and computer literacy in MS Word and Excel are essential.
To be eligible for this position you must currently reside in NZ and have a legal right to work permanently in this country.

Planning and preparation of work-faces
Liaison with other trades, site co-ordination
Maintenance of the site diary
Experience and Skills Required
Experience and co m prehensive understanding of the UFB Ribbonet network
Ability to maintain accurate site records including test results, ‘as built’ information and a site diary
Ability to read and understand technical documents such as specifications, schedules and drawings
A thorough understanding of the management of safety and hazards

Experience and Skills Required
Ideally you will have 2-3 years’ experience installing cabling and the ability to read and understand technical documents, specifications, schedules and drawings.
Sound computer literacy is essential including a good command of MS Word and Excel programmes.
