ZIWI is gearing up for a major milestone with the launch of our new canning line. This cutting-edge facility represents our unwavering dedication to ultra premium pet nutrition. As we prepare to expand our team, we're seeking passionate individuals to join us in this journey of excellence. We are now calling for people with experience in a canning environment to join the team as a Quality Control Officer .
Dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in all our pet food, the QC is works closely with the production teams to test incoming raw materials, in process production and finished product inventory. The QC ensures compliance with internal specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate must have experience working within a food manufacturing environment in a compliance or lab testing role. You will set high standards of documentation and record keeping and will enjoy the challenges with issue resolution and process improvement.
Key responsibilities:
Implement and maintain QA protocols with meet internal and external standards
Conduct regular testing of product and equipment
Oversee lab testing results, and compare against quality standards
Prepare quality dicuments such as COA for each batch of product released
Assess and monitor supplier quality
Key requirements:
NCEA level 2
Experience in food manufacturing environments – high speed canning would be preferred
Experience in seam testing, cannery evaluation would be an advantage
Expertise working with high-speed production processes.
