Your Job

We are looking for a security engineer to support our information security and compliance team. Together with the CISO and internal ethical hackers you resolve security incidents and try to spot vulnerabilities before they do harm. We love individuals with fresh new ideas that are well-founded, who are not shy of experiments, and will work closely with the rest of the team.

Triage vulnerabilities and support colleagues in solving them.

Supporting the resolution security incidents.

Monitor log files on anomalous behaviour.

Do and follow up on internal technical and compliance audits.

Support internal audits with your deep technical and organisational insight.

Perform vulnerability scans and analysis of vulnerability reports.

Work in the team to improve Inverid's security, privacy and compliance posture by chasing and supporting continual improvement projects.

Work on innovative projects with a security component.

Willing to grow towards the role of Security Officer in which you would be handling the resolution of security incidents yourself and can replace the CISO in his absence.

What do you bring?

You have a university (MSc) or applied university/college (HBO/BSc) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security or similar.

You have 2-4 years of experience as a security engineer or similar role.

You can speak and write English.

You are an eager and fast learner.

You are proactive and can switch context easily.

You can communicate effectively with technical minded people.

You are passionate about security and privacy.

You currently live in the Netherlands or are willing to relocate here. You work at least 2 days a week at the head office in Enschede.

You have experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS and Kubernetes.

You have experience in Java, Python and bash.

You have experience with security processes and management systems, for example ISO 27001 ISMS, ISO 27701 PIMS.

You have security certification like CISA, CISSP or a willing to get it.

You enjoy achieving results in a team by inspiring and keeping your promises.
