Job summary
We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Learning Disability Health Service(ALDHS).
The service has 3 locality multi-disciplinary teams covering, Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, the successful applicate will be working primarily in the North Somerset area .
The service prides itself on delivering high quality support to service users with a variety of physical and mental health issues alongside their Learning Disability
Experience of working with service users who have complex neurological conditions, physical disabilities, mental health needs and challenging behaviour would be advantageous.
You will also have opportunity to work alongside our mainstream health colleagues to enable people with a learning disability improved access to health care, through training, reasonable adjustments, resources, and liaison.

Excellent support available from our Specialist Band 7's, Band 6 Peer support, Training opportunities to enable development of Learning Disability Specific Clinical Skills.
Multi-disciplinary working and networking with other services
Well established supervision and appraisal structures and regular team meetings
Flexible working arrangements available
Full time hours preferable but part time hours will be considered
Service hours : Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm
Main duties of the job
To provide high quality occupational therapy for adults with learning disabilities, working with service users who might present with complex neurological conditions, physical disabilities, mental health needs and challenging behaviour.
This involves working as an autonomous practitioner, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with relevant professionals, carers, agencies and providers.
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop, deliver and implement resources and training to mainstream services to promote inclusion and improved outcomes for people with a learning disability.
