You will join a team of nineteen experiencedand supportive SMO colleagues and one ANZCA trainee. You will beworking within a secondary care setting participating in the anaestheticroster, covering planned care and acute theatre sessions, anaesthesia after-hourson call support, anaesthetic pre-assessment clinics and working as the duty anaesthetist.
Inthis role, you will provide support to other departments including obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics,general surgery, orthopaedics, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, dental, mentalhealth and the emergency department.
Our department also provides anaesthesiafor visiting subspecialty surgeons in paediatric surgery, paediatricorthopaedic surgery, plastics, and maxillofacial surgery.

You will be vocationallyregistered with the NZ Medical Council and hold Fellowship of the Australianand New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA), or equivalent, or be -eligible for the same.
