Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday 7.30am – 16.00pm (or as rostered)
Work Flexibility required to work after hours including weekends or holidays where required.
General Summary:
As a Service Technician you are responsible for the delivery of various service and maintenance offerings of AAES PDS. This includes installation, repair, emergency breakdown and other maintenance services required by AAES customers within our product range.
Responsibilities: Install, repair and maintain the AAES doors product range
Complete paperwork/documents as per quality and timeliness standard
Liaise with customers in relation to repairs and installation/CBIB
Liaise with Service Coordinators or Planners on any issues that may arise from sites and other services in a timely manner
Work flexibly, including call-outs or overtime as required
Comply with Company and site inductions/checks (drug, alcohol, police, working with children, flu shots/vaccines and other required checks) and other WHS requirements at all times
Maintain work tools in compliance with policies at all times (Motor Vehicle, Tools of Trade, Phone, Tablet, etc.)
Coordinate requirements on parts and stocks with Planners or Parts and Logistics Team?
Use as instructed, appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Safe Working Methods (SWMS) that have been identified on the Hazard Analysis for the department/role
Attend and participate in all Toolbox meetings, required training, audits and other programs as required
Report all safety incidents, hazards and risks as they through DONESAFE, provide documentation and photos
Comply with AAES Values and Behaviours, Policies and other requirements at all times
Other tasks that may be required from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Service Technician
Experience preferably in the service and/or installation industry
Knowledge of maintenance processes
Geographic knowledge of city/state
Technical understanding of auto doors
Qualified licenced electrician or fitter and turner and controls experience a plus.
EWP (Scissor Lift) and Forklift License preferable
Must have current drivers licence and must maintain license
Must be able to work flexibly (overtime, out of hours, including weekends).
Able to take orders and instructions and execute on time
Organise and coordinate paperwork and reports
Fit and healthy, able to travel, no fear of heights
High regard for WHS policies and practices

First time fix rate and technician efficiency
Resolution/escalation of customer issues
Punctuality and reliability
Product knowledge
Accurate completion of paperwork/reporting requirements
Compliance to all relevant policies and procedures including Safety.

As an employee you are expected to comply with reasonable instructions from AAES to assist in complying with the WHS/WHS Act and cooperate with policies or procedures relating to health and safety that have been communicated.
As this role provides automatic doors’ service and maintenance, access to clients premises and customers’ facilities may require you to wear appropriate PPE, tools, site induction and training. In addition, you may be required to comply with vaccinations recommended by the New Zealand government for certain industries like Aged Care or site specific requirements (including, but not limited to a flu shot) as a condition of entry for customer premises. In such occasion you agree to provide evidence to AAES or to the customer of this requirement during when required during the period of your employment
