About The Role
A golden-ticket opportunity for an intermediate or senior physiotherapist to step into a mixed team lead role with a well-established and supportive organisation. This is a 12-month maternity cover role, with the potential opportunity to continue long-term. You do not need to have previous leadership or management experience, but experience practising in a New Zealand healthcare setting is required as an understanding of ACC and relevant documentation is essential.
Key Responsibilities
60% Clinical Practice;
Manage your own patient caseload
Treat your choice of MSK, or neuro cases
Work in-clinic or community, or a mix if desired
Provide assessments, treatments, rehabilitation programming, and patient education
Manage relevant referrals, reporting, documentation and filing, including relevant ACC documentation
40% Team Leadership;
Support the professional development of new physiotherapists, provide mentoring and training
Coordinate rosters, and calendars, and facilitate the management of contracts and caseloads
Provide clinical oversight, and ensure all practices and documentation (patient records, ACC documentation, etc.) are in adherence to relevant regulations and P&Ps
Oversee additional tasks such as patient feedback, management of resources and equipment, communication with external stakeholders, and reporting to senior management
Requirements
Must be registered with the NZ Physiotherapy Board
Must have experience with ACC (referrals & contracts)
Hold a Restricted or Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
