We’re looking for a Development Manager to join our Objective Trapeze team – our software application that is purpose-built for council planners and automated redaction software that makes redaction much faster, internal review much easier, and keeps your most sensitive information safe.

Objective Trapeze is used by more than 200 local councils in Australia and New Zealand, has all the tools you need to assess, review and approve development assessments – with better information governance.

This role requires leading complex software development projects for Trapeze, delivering new products and features for release and supporting existing customers. You also have an opportunity to manage a diverse small team of software engineers and QA analysts.

Your day will look like: Plan, execute, monitor and successfully deliver software development projects

Contribute to defining the product strategy

Continually improve our Agile development processes and implement best practice in software development

Managing your team, providing clear goals and context.

Create personal development plans, recruit, and manage overall performance of team

We’re looking for someone who has: Minimum 5 years project management and people management experience

A deep understanding of Agile development methodologies, SCRUM, is essential

The ability to solve complex problems and deliver complex software projects

The ability to clearly articulate technical challenges, goals and solutions

This role is based in our newly built office in Palmerston North which has a professional but informal environment.
