As a Patient Support andSecurity Worker you will focus on working with staff to best meet the needs ofpatients and their whānau accessing our services.
As this is a casualposition, there are no fixed / guaranteed hours of work. However, the moreavailable you are the more shifts you'll be offered.
The hourly rateranges from $23.50 to $28.18 dependent upon relevant NZQA qualifications andexperience. Penal rates apply to nights (25%) between 8.
00PM and 6.00AM,weekends (50%) from midnight Friday / Saturday until midnight Sunday / Monday andpublic holidays (100%)

You will be the typeof person who works in a rational and calm manner and who has the skills andexperience to effectively de-escalate difficult situations and promote a safeand therapeutic environment.
You will be able to relate well to patients andtheir visitors. You will be able to work with the clinical team and followdirections.
Previous experiencein security, or a related industry is preferred. However, this is not essentialas training will be provided.
Additionally, you willhave :
empathy and a non-judgmental attitude towards patients and members of the public
the ability to relate with ease to people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds
the ability to recognise and pass on issues that may affect patient welfare
a good level of physical fitness and mobility.
