Provide a central oversight of all high-risk work, ensuring there are no conflicting works

Apply your operational knowledge to ensure permit accuracy and compliance

Provide support and training in the appropriate use of the permit system

Coordinate activities relating to the Port User Management Framework

Continuously identify and drive safety and system improvements

About You

Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience and qualifications

Motivated self-starter with proven experience developing a safety culture

Highly developed interpersonal communication skills with a collaborative style

Can demonstrate experience relating to risk assessment, compliance and auditing

Ideally have experience in the planning, issuing and closing of permits

Have the ability to provide technical expertise and coaching to our stakeholders

You’re a solutions and customer-focused person with a passion for driving process improvement. Computer literacy goes without saying, and you will have an understanding of how to get the best out of health and safety systems.

And you’ll have proven evidence demonstrating our ASPIRE values: Accountability, Safety, Passion, Integrity/honesty, Respect, and Excellence.

If this role sounds like you and you are ready to take on a new challenge, apply now!

Please note: Port Nelson Ltd is an alcohol and drug-free workplace. Pre-employment testing is part of our recruitment process. Applicants for this position must be NZ citizens or already have permanent residency to be considered for this role.
